48-year-old woman with petroclival meningioma on the right
side was operated on via combined subtemporal-suboccipital
transpetrous approach. The ipsilateral oculomotor nerve

kept anatomical intact. A: The observed tumor in the right
petroclival region; B: The combined scalp incision; C:
Total tumor removal as shown in MR scan postoperatively;
D and E: one month after operation, paralysis occurred
in right oculomotor, abducent and facial nerve; F and
G: Eight months after anastomosis, function of the three
affected nerves was partially recovered; H: Twelve months
after operation, function of abducent and facial nerves
were completely recovered, while the oculomotor nerve
function showed limited improvement.
